End of Summer

Our summer is winding down.  T and A have started school and on Monday R starts.  Here are a few things we have been doing.

First, watching one of the fires that was close to our house.  This summer the state has had fires all over and a few have threatened our little town.  We didn't have to evacuated but we were on alert.  These pics are from the boys room upstairs.  It never came over the mountain, thankfully!

Second, while watching the many fires, the kids had fun on the tramp.  We got a net to go around it but hadn't put it up yet in these pictures.  Here are some of their fancy moves.

Even the dogs wanted in on the action.

Third, we have had lots of fun at the water parks.  We had season passes to Seven Peaks and the kids have loved it! Here are just a couple of shots of the girls and A's friend in the wave pool.  The boys are off somewhere on the slides.  L is very bold and unafraid in the water and makes me nervous even with her life jacket.  She loves to be out in the waves and wants to be with the big kids when the waves are on.

Last but not least....
A wanted to get a hair cut.  Not just a trim but she has wanted short hair for awhile and I tried to hold her off.  Finally we decided we would let it grow long enough to donate to Locks of Love.  Here she is getting her beautiful hair cut off.  The result is sooooooo cute!

This is our last weekend before everyone is in school (except L).  R has started baseball again, T wants to try cross country so that starts in a few weeks and A starts dance again in a week or two.  Summer has been pretty fun but I guess we are almost back to "real life" - which isn't a bad thing.
