Happy Birthday

On Friday December 2, T celebrated his 8th birthday!  I still can't believe it's been 8 years since that crazy night when he was born.

He woke up early and couldn't wait to open his presents. So before the sun came up and before Larry left for work and before he got ready for school, he opened them.

That night we had Grandma, Grandpa and Grandpa B. over for cake and ice cream.

The next day T was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We are so proud of him!  While we were waiting for him to get changed back into his dry clothes, the Primary Presidency handed out some paper and pens to everyone and we got to write him a note, tell him our thoughts or share our testimony.  As we were leaving he was handed a stack of papers from everyone.  That was the coolest thing ever to be able to read what everyone had written.  Best idea! And what a neat thing for T to keep and look back at.

(All our family came over after for lunch and all the cousins had fun hanging out.)

T specifically told me to put this picture on the blog - since she is his one true love.  Here he is getting a nice birthday kiss from is best girl, Sunny Day.

We love you buddy boy!  You are a wonderful brother, son, friend, baseball player, football player, video game master, smartest kid and so much more.  We are so glad you are part of our family and love to hear your laugh.  We are proud of the good choices you are making and couldn't imagine our family without you!

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY!

  2. I'm glad everything went so well, and loved the pic of Toby and Sunny :) Our ward does the notes with testimonies too, I'm still trying to figure out how exactly to store them in a special place...
