Christmas and Birthday

We had a fun Christmas this year. Nothing super fancy, no exciting trips, just fun here at home with family, trying to remind everyone the true meaning of Christmas as often as possible!

Here are some photos right before Christmas at school with some gingerbread houses made by T and A.

My birthday is 5 days after. 39 years old this year, next is the big 40! BUT 40 is the new 20, right?

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, with long perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.
