Flag Football

The cold weather has finally made it here and I'm not totally excited about it yet.  This is how T has to dress for flag football now.  And they play in the rain, actually they play in any weather except lightning.

This morning he had another game and scored another 2 touchdowns and got a couple of flags also.  I LOVE to see him run down the field with the ball and go back and fourth between the other team as they try to get his flags.  He's so fast!  Grandma and Grandpa asked him if he was having fun playing and he said yes but that he liked tackle football better. (He's kind of a "big talker" cause he's never actually played that except in the front yard).  Today he accidentally got tackled and wasn't very happy about that.  Maybe he's changed his mind now.

And R is playing flag football also.  We didn't plan on this but T's coach also coaches his older son's team (R's friend) and they have been short a couple of guys so they asked if R wanted to fill in cause they had an extra jersey.  He thought that sounded fun for a game or two and has done awesome!  And been invited back for the rest of the games :).  His first game he threw 1 TD, an extra point (they don't kick those), and intercepted a pass.  He also threw 2 interceptions - but smiles and says it's OK cause they won anyway.

Today he played again and threw 1 TD, ran in another and got a bunch of flags.  He is having so much fun.
